If there is anything that is quintessential to the K-beauty revolution it is the multi-step routine to achieve impeccably moisturized skin and sheet masks. Getting started with 5-10 different skincare products can be super intimidating but sheet masks are fun and super easy! That’s why they’re my favorite k-beauty goodie and have become a skincare staple. Today, I’ll tell you all about this perfect “facial in a flash” as well as a few places to find them! Hello again! So clearly time management is not my thing because I’m like 4-5 posts behind. My bad…I’m back though and today I’ll do a brief little review of Unsun Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen! Unsun is a black-owned sunscreen brand started by Katonya Breaux, Frank Ocean’s mom. It’s tinted and formulated to work on all skin tones especially darker skin tones! I talked a bit before about how everyone including black people need sunscreen even in the winter (and all year really). That’s why it’s so awesome that there are finally some brands that cater to people with some melanin! Let’s get on to the review! Continue reading “Unsun Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen Review”
So I’m finally back to the reviews of items from the my Winter Skincare Overhaul! Today I’ll be talking about Neogen’s H2 Dermadeca Serum Spray! I’m all about unique packaging and applications so when I saw this I knew I had to try it! This is also one of the Soko Glam Best of K-beauty winners for 2017. This serum is supposed to be a speedy easy application that brightens and makes skin more luminous. Let’s see how it works! Continue reading “Neogen H2 Dermadeca Serum Spray Review”
Hi again so it’s that time of year again. The seasons are changing and it’s likely you have a neighbor (or you) that has already started decorating (or redecorating) for one of the many holidays in the upcoming months. Changes in weather also means a change in skincare for a lot of people. Lately my skin has been being a bit more irritable than normal so I’m going to be overhauling my skincare routine and blogging about it the entire way, starting off with my Soko Glam product haul! I got pretty much a whole new routine including a few of their Best of K-Beauty winners!
Etude Real Art Perfect Cleansing Oil
Oil cleansing is often touted as one of the pinnacles of a K-beauty routine, so naturally the first product I picked out was a new oil cleanser. This version from Etude House is supposed to not only cleanse but also hydrate the skin. I’ve already started using this cleanser and like it. (Review Here)
Benton Honest Cleansing Foam
I chose the Benton Honest Cleansing Foam next because of its simple description and ingredients. I noticed that my skin hasn’t been retaining moisture like it used to. Because of that, I wanted to pick up a gentler cleanser to be sure I wasn’t stripping my skin.
Klavuu Perfect Pearlsation Cleansing Water
I had to pick up another cleansing water because they are one of my favorite beauty products because they are so multifaceted! I can use them as a makeup remover, light cleanser on rushed mornings or lazy nights, and this one can even double as a toner! As the name mentions, it contains pearl extracts to help hydrate and brighten the complexion! I’m really looking forward to this one!
Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Skin Essence
This is the first of two products I picked that are Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty Award winners. A theme for my skincare overhaul has been moisturizing products. This essence packs a punch when it comes to that with sodium hyaluronate which can hold 1000x more moisture than water! It also has some really cool versatility so I’m looking forward to it!
Neogen H2 Dermadeca Serum Spray
Say hello to the second Best of K-Beauty winner I got! I’ve been looking for a new inexpensive serum and this one fit the bill. I always love innovative packaging and this serum comes in spray form so it’ll be something cool to try and convenient.
Skinfood Wash Off Rice Mask
Since I’ve been concerned about my skin being stripped of moisture, I picked up a more gentle exfoliating mask. The Skinfood Black Sugar Wash Off mask is one of my favorites so I’m hoping I like this one too.
Manefit and Skinfood Sheet Masks
No k-beauty routine is ever complete without sheet masks. My eyes always need some extra care in winter so I got two regular masks and then one eye specific mask.
Etude House Eyebrow Contouring Multi Pencil
The last item in my haul while not skincare is another fun product. I needed and new eyebrow pencil and this version from Etude House has a pencil, brow gel, and brow highlight all in one!
So that’s all for today’s post! I’ll be going over most of these products one by one in the next few months so check back. I’ll update this post with links when each individual review is posted!

Hi everyone! So a few weeks back, I picked up the Hope Girl box from Memebox! I’ve been loving all of the items in it (you can see an overview here). Today, I’ll be talking about the main skincare goodie that was included: the Hope Girl Ultra Moist Donkey Milk Cream! This skin cream features tiny bursting capsules filled with donkey milk! It promises intense hydration and anti-aging effects in a luxurious formula. Let’s get to the details! Continue reading “Hope Girl Ultra Moist Donkey Milk Cream Review”
Good day everyone! Today, I’m going to be reviewing Prelab‘s Skin Energy Mask in the variety soothing energy. Prelab seems to be relatively new Korean cosmetics and skincare brand. They are owned by the same company as Scinic. Their Soothing Energy mask is an ampoule sheet mask which promises to calm damaged skin that has been irritated by environmental exposure. Since my skin has become quite sensitive to sun damage, I thought this sounded like a good one to try. Let’s get on to the details! Continue reading “Prelab Skin Energy Mask in Soothing Energy Review”
Hey everyone! Today is one of the last reviews from my winter skincare haul. I’ll be talking about the Sally’s Box Delight Ceramide Hydro Gel Mask. According to the description, this mask is meant to help with moisture retention and make skin more resistant to environmental damage over time. Let’s get to the details! Continue reading “Review: Sally’s Box Delight Ceramide Hydro Gel Mask”
Hi again! Today is time for another skincare product review! I’ll be talking about the SNP Animal Otter Aqua Mask. It is formulated to be extremely moisturizing and hydrating. It also has a cute sea otter design on it! Let’s get to the details. Continue reading “Review: SNP Animal Otter Aqua Mask”
Hello again! Today, I am going to be posting more about Korean skincare specifically what is a sleeping pack. Before being introduced to K-beauty, I had never heard of such a thing. I’ll be honest; I really didn’t do much of anything to my face at night except maybe removing an occasional bit of makeup. However, now I am obsessed with them and am going to share why sleeping packs are so beneficial for your skin. Lastly, I’ll also touch on why night-time skincare is extra helpful for your skin (beauty sleep is a real thing!). Continue reading “The Ultimate Beauty ZZZsss: Korean Sleeping Packs”
Today’s review is going to be for *spoiler*: One of my FAVORITE sheet masks, the Glam Rock Abracadabra Mask by Too Cool for School.
