Unsun Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen Review

Hello again! So clearly time management is not my thing because I’m like 4-5 posts behind. My bad…I’m back though and today I’ll do a brief little review of Unsun Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen! Unsun is a black-owned sunscreen brand started by Katonya Breaux, Frank Ocean’s mom. It’s tinted and formulated to work on all skin tones especially darker skin tones! I talked a bit before about how everyone including black people need sunscreen even in the winter (and all year really). That’s why it’s so awesome that there are finally some brands that cater to people with some melanin! Let’s get on to the review! Continue reading “Unsun Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen Review”

Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask Review

Hi again! I’m excited to share my first review for a non-Korean skincare product, Kiehl’s Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask! Kiehl’s is a brand that I’ve known about for several years and have consistently heard good things about. (Fun fact: Expedition Everest was sponsored by the brand and the mountain climbers used Kiehl’s products to treat and protect their skin from the elements!) Ironically enough with having known about the brand, I didn’t actually buy this product myself; it was a gift from my Dad! He doesn’t excel at online shopping but knows my love for skincare so he picked it up at one of our local malls 🙂 This is a clay type mask which makes use of turmeric and cranberry seeds and is supposed to instantly illuminate and smooth skin. Let’s see how it worked! Continue reading “Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask Review”

Skin79 Natural 98 Yum Yum Cleanser Review

Hi and welcome to the first beauty related post on the new site! I’ve been adding a number of new products to my skincare routine as I’ve been running out of the old ones. I’ve also noticed that my skin has been a bit finicky and that I’ve needed to pair down a bit. In tune with that, I’ve been using the Skin 79 Natural 98 Yum Yum Cleanser in the Adlay variety. One of several things which make this cleanser different is that provides a two-in-one product for your double cleanse! The cleanser claims to be able to remove dirt and build-up from the face while also moisturizing and brightening the complexion. Let’s see how it fared! Continue reading “Skin79 Natural 98 Yum Yum Cleanser Review”

Anskin Eco-Cup Modeling Mask Review

Hello all! Today, I’m reviewing the Anskin Eco-Cup Modeling Mask! Modeling or rubber masks are among the more recent skincare goodies taken straight from the spa and turned into an at home treatment. You mix the ingredients to create an at home peel off mask. Anskin has 4 varieties of this mask (I bought three 🙂 ). I’m reviewing the Bbuckga (쀽가) Lifting and Detox version. It promises to deep clean skin to remove toxins while increasing skin elasticity. Let’s see how it worked! Continue reading “Anskin Eco-Cup Modeling Mask Review”

Laneige BB Cushion Medium Review

So I’m not sure why I never reviewed this product before. The Laneige BB Cushion was my very first cushion compact. It is still my everyday go-to for natural base makeup. I decided to spotlight it now because they have recently expanded their shade range from just 3 to 6 colors! Anyone who has looked into Korean foundation or BB creams knows that finding any shades that aren’t extremely light is a struggle! Even as a black woman with comparatively light skin, it has been incredibly difficult; even the darkest shades most Korean brands sell are a bit too light. So I’m so glad that Laneige has expanded their range to suit more skin tones. The Laneige Cushion promises buildable natural coverage that moisturizes while color correcting. I’ll be showing you the wear of the shade Medium. Let’s get to it! Continue reading “Laneige BB Cushion Medium Review”

Tosowoong Aqua Tok Tok CO2 Fresh Mask Review

Hello all! Today I have a new review for the Tosowoong Aqua Tok Tok CO² Fresh Mask! So this mask has been sitting in my let’s call it beauty bar (which is really just half a dresser filled with nothing but skincare and makeup 🙂 ) for a while. I’m excited that I finally got around to using it. The Aqua Tok Tok Mask is a two step mask which promises to provide pore care, brighten skin, nourish the skin, and reduce wrinkles all while hydrating and being irritation free even for hyper-sensitive skin. That sounds like quite a bit to live up to, so let’s see how it fared! Continue reading “Tosowoong Aqua Tok Tok CO2 Fresh Mask Review”
