Hi everyone! Today I’m going to do a quick little post about Maybelline’s collab with MakeupShayla on one of their City Mini Palettes. This isn’t a brand new product but I saw it on a quick trip to my pharmacy and couldn’t resist picking it up so I figured I’d write a bit about it!
So I’ve always been a sucker for minis; they’re soooo adorable so that got me from the bat. Mini also means great portability so for someone on the go this works! I also really love the colors in this palette! It’s a great combo of warm metallics, neutral mattes, and a gorgeous rich plum. The pale gold is great as an inner corner or brow bone highlight and the black and brown allow you to contour and give dimension whether you want something more subtle or full on smokey. I also just happen to love purples and the color combos overall are great for fall! Check out the swatches:
I’d heard good things about the range of City Mini Palettes and it did not disappoint. The color payoff is great and the shades are smooth and buttery. They are easy to pick up on your brush (I almost found myself using too much) and the metallics apply beautifully but are most impactful when applied with your fingers. They also have good longevity; my eye makeup lasted all day with minimal fading and no creasing! Here’s a more evening look I did with the palette:
Honestly I couldn’t ask for more in this palette and at less than $10 at most retailers it’s definitely worth checking out! You can find it where Maybelline products are sold including Ulta and Target.
What do you think of Shayla’s collab with Maybelline? Have you tried any of the City Mini Palettes? Leave your thoughts in the comments! As always thanks for reading and bisous!
